For this North York property, our team was tasked with creating a backyard that felt like a true extension of the home: sophisticated, functional, and built to impress. From concept to completion, our designers and craftsmen approached every element with precision, and the result is a contemporary outdoor living space our whole team is proud of.
The centerpiece of the yard is a freeform inground pool finished in a deep blue mosaic that shifts beautifully with the changing light. Its soft, curving edge is framed by large-format stone paving that ties the entire space together with a clean, modern finish. As dusk settles, integrated lighting reflects across the water, giving the whole yard a warm, resort-like glow.
Overlooking the pool is a custom flat-roof cabana, the showpiece of the project. Inside, we combined rich wood cladding, a stacked-stone accent wall, and a mounted TV to create a fully finished outdoor lounge and entertainment area. Dramatic vertical LED accent lighting runs the length of the slatted feature wall, while comfortable modern seating and a built-in fire feature make it an ideal spot to gather in any season. A discreet built-in storage room keeps the space practical as well as beautiful. Surrounding it all, cedar privacy fencing, columnar evergreens, and subtle landscape lighting wrap the yard in complete seclusion.
