A Backyard Reimagined: A Poolside Retreat in Oakville
For this Oakville home, we set out to transform an ordinary backyard into a private resort-style escape, a space built for both quiet evenings and lively gatherings. Our designers, contractors, and specialists took on every detail of this project, and the final result is one we’re incredibly proud to share.
At the heart of the design is a sleek, geometric inground pool, framed by clean-lined stone paving that wraps the entire space in a polished, contemporary finish. Along one edge, we built a stacked-stone feature wall with cascading water spouts, adding the soothing sound of moving water and a striking focal point that comes alive in the evening light.
To one side, a raised wood deck creates a warm, natural lounging platform for sun chairs and quiet moments by the water. Anchoring the yard is a custom covered cabana, complete with comfortable seating and a modern linear fire feature, the perfect spot to gather after sunset. We finished the space with lush softscaping, layered greenery, and integrated lighting, while frosted-glass and wood privacy screening wraps the yard in seclusion without sacrificing its open, airy feel.
