Insulated concrete form pools are built using a combination of high-density EPS foam forms, reinforced steel, and structural concrete. This construction method creates a highly insulated, durable pool shell that performs exceptionally well in Toronto’s freeze-thaw climate. Here are the steps we follow
Step 1: Planning Around Your Property
Our architects will first inspect your yard conditions, drainage, property access, grading, and sun exposure. We’ll also determine and obtain the specific municipal approvals and permits required for your project.
Next, we’ll work with you to prepare 3D renderings that allow you to review the pool layout, surrounding landscaping, and optional features before construction begins. This collaborative approach lets you align the expected finished pool with your vision.
Step 2: Building the Insulated Structure
Once excavation is complete, insulated concrete forms will be carefully assembled to create the pool walls. Reinforcing steel is then installed throughout the structure before structural concrete is poured into the forms, creating a strong, thermally insulated shell capable of resisting Toronto’s seasonal ground movement or shifting.
