Are wood or aluminum pergola better?

Wood offers the best flexibility in terms of style and adjustmenets, but there are upkeep to having an organic structure. Where as Aluminum is a low maintenance item , but it does not have as much as alteration allowance compare to that of wood

Can I convert my pergola into a gazebo?

Although it seems very much possible to add plywood and some shingles on top of a pergola as a gazebo. But we illy advise that as there are a high change that the existing footing and post does not suppor the new live and deadload of the snow, rain and other element that will impact the structural integrity.

Can I add screen to my pergola / gazebo?

Absolutely! Screening in your perogla and gazebo is a fantastic way to keep bug away, increasing privacy, as well as to add some unique feature and interest to it.

Can I put shingle on my gazebo?

Absolutely! Aside from Shingles, there are also cedar roofing material that you can use, as well as torch down membrane. Some people even use a plastic like material for easy cleaning.

Can pergola and gazebo be customize to your yard size?

For sure! Each and every one of our pergola / gazebo and of course Cabana, are all custom fitted to client’s specific location. All of them are unique in their own way!

Do I need a permit for my gazebo / pergola?

Most of the time, you would fall into some sort of permitting required zone, however, if your pergola and gazebo is small enough (often smaller than 10 square meter), then you do not need a permit. Though it is still a good idea to check in with your city. City’s permitting department often changes their regulation, always be good to check.

Can I use composite to build my pergola or gazebo?

Currently there are many wonderful material that are in composite, but we find that wooden or aluminum pergola are still strongest material out of former option. However, you can most certainly veneer the wood with any other material to dress it up for a higher end look.
